1 package of pie crust mix
1 pound ground venison
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 can – 8 ounces – tomato sauce
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
Cheese sauce – see below

Cheese Topping
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon each of salt, dry mustard, and Worcestershire sauce
2 cups shredded natural cheddar cheese – about 8 ounces

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare pastry for 9 inch pie crust as directed on package and place in bottom of pie pan. In medium skillet cook and stir venison until brown. Drain off any fat. Stir in salt, oregano, pepper, bread crumbs, 1/2 cup tomato sauce, onion, and green pepper. Add to top of pastry filling as you would making any style of pie. Spread cheese topping over filling. Add the top portion of the pastry to complete the pie and bake for 30 minutes.
