Some visitors may have noticed that our product area has been missing in action since early April. This has been due to a technical glitch that resulted in an immense lack of communication. In short we received no notice of upcoming changes from the merchants who supply the products. In turn when these changes took place all of our products disappeared. This change affected more than DeerFever. Being part of the Water and Woods Network it is affecting every site within the network and we began repairing these network pages, 1500 in total, as quickly as possible according to the seasonal activity levels up until now.

As of this post we are now concentrating our efforts into rebuilding the product pages here at DeerFever and will be listing our progress below as pages are built, updated, and published.

Today’s Wilderness has just broadcasted it’s latest podcast show which features David Petersen.

David is an accomplished outdoorsman and author who focuses on the outdoors. A great deal of David’s writings reach into the world of elk habits and hunting and the infamous argument as to whether the great grizzly bears of Colorado still maintain and exisiting population.

As Petersen, and the host, Kevin Gardner, traverse through this podcast show it becomes evident that their trails have numerous connections on both their studies and research. This makes for some very intriguing conversation sure to capture the attention of hunters and outdoorsmen alike.

The podcast begins with the offerings of the entire network and then moves forward to Jim’s background in hunting and the outdoors. The second half of the show deals with Whitetail Deer Hunting Techniques and some of the favorites he’s written about here on the site. We cap off the show with reviewing the Whitetail Myth section here at DeerFever by adding more insight into the equation.

In the future we will also post all podcasts from Todays Wilderness that center around the sport of deer hunting. So, for those hunters who might like to just kick up their boots and listen, enjoy the show.

As some of the regular visitors have noticed, DeerFever has taken on a new look and with that comes many questions.

For starters it’s a simple matter of reorganizing and starting fresh. Our previous platform used to distribute pages and information had become extremely lethargic which in turn did not provide a benefit for our visitors as well as ourselves during updates. It was a simple matter of time I suppose before we forged forward into a new realm with an updated platform. Thus, here we begin.
