36 Point Non Typical Buck Poached In Illinois

Grundy county poached buck
The investigation focused on the unlawful harvest of a 36-point non-typical deer scoring 261 5/8 and valued at $35,000.

Charges have been filed against three individuals after an 11-month investigation by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) Office of Law Enforcement in a deer poaching case. The three men were cited for numerous Wildlife Code violations including the illegal take of a potential state-record whitetail deer, and now face charges through the Grundy County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Bob Lavergne scored big time when he dropped this massive nontypical 21 point buck earlier this month in Indian Lake. Lavergne was reported to be part of a hunting party when he made the wise decision to break from the pack and still-hunt the Cedar River area of the Gooley Club property.

Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge was the backdrop for Glen Senske, a Minnesota hunter who, after an injury, was told by his doctor that he wouldn’t be able to hunt this season. A true hunter with a passion for the sport Senske found a way to manage a deer hunt and scored big time with this huge whitetail buck.
